On Air Wristwatch
A Turkish designer Iskander Asanaliev presents his original transparent On Air Wristwatch. The main peculiarity of the timepiece is that it only has one hand - the hour hand.

On Air Wristwatch shows the time in an extraordinary minimal way. While LED display shows minutes in number, its position shows the current hour. Display is also functioning as a light and set button. If you push once, the LED lights up. To set the time you need just to push in the center of the display for 5 seconds and LED flashes, here you push upper or lower corner of the display to set the hour and the left and right corner to set minutes.
The On Air Wristwatch is still a concept. But the idea was appreciated by many designers and watch specialists so maybe very soon the concept will become a real timepiece – the technology allowing producing such a watch already exists. And then it will be surely a success among those who like unusual and eye-catching designer accessories.
Swatch Infinity Concept Watch
Over the past few years, some amazing digital watch concepts have been introduced. Most electronic gadgets do double, triple or quadruple duty as watches, phones, cameras or mp3 players. And every year designers and engineers improve not only the functional side of such timepieces but also create new futuristic designs.

Among the recent novelties in this sphere Swatch Infinity Concept watch seems to be one of the most interesting and eye-catching. The concept timepiece was designed by Pierre Merlet and features a built-in mp3 player, video player/recorder and a photo album.
Swatch Infinity is a bracelet-style digital watch that features a removable face. The strap of the new gadget has a magnetic clasp and the body of the watch pops off to be recharged.
The watch looks quite original and will be appreciated by everyone who is fond of high tech multifunctional gadgets.
Fisherman’s Dream: Humminbird RF35 Fish Finder Watch
Those who are fond of fishing may rub their hands in anticipation of a great haul. Now the places of the best fish biting may be identified not by experiment and different omens but just by one look at the wrist watch. Humminbird RF35 Fish Finder Watch is the first sonar system adjusted to the search of fish.

The device consists of two parts. The first one is a wrist watch which can work in a timepiece mode showing the time and date and in an interface mode showing the data about the situation under water. The second part is an under water sonar proper which is fixed at the bottom of the boat or at the inner side of the ice hole and traces fish. Although the size of the sonar is no bigger than a match box its potential is rather serious. The radius of coverage equals to 25 meters and the depth scan goes down up to 40 meters.
If the sonar found a shoal of fish the display of the watch will show its schematic location with precise position data in real time mode. The time of fishing is practically unlimited – the sonar is equipped with a powerful battery which provides 500 hours of power reserve.
Water Clock with Magnet
It appears that a water clock can be not only an antediluvian clepsydra. It’s enough to use a little bit of designer’s talent, some magnets and … here we are! We can make use of a very original and attractive device – the Water Clock. What is more this elegantly minimal clock lets you create your own custom time-telling device using a combination of plates, cups and liquid of your choice.

The new time telling device was designed by Kouichi Okamoto together with ceramicist Daniel Jo. The delicate clay base of the new clock has powerful magnets inside one from which runs a red ball serving as the hour-indicator, while the other one runs a white ball showing minutes. The two balls are swimming in a plate, cup or any other vessel filled with water. While the two spheres are magnetic, they’re actually buoyant, so if you fill up a glass with water, the “hands” of the clock actually float on the surface of the water.

The new clock is really original and looks minimalist and elegant. It can serve as an original interior clock which will look harmoniously in any room. But still there is one disadvantage. Be careful – don’t drink the Clock floating in the glass of water!

Chronochrome: a Clock and a Night-Lamp in One
At first sight one may think that the Chronochrome is a mere night-lamp. But in fact this original device is also a puzzle-clock which tells the time with the help of combinations of different colours. To tell the time the owner should know what colour stands for different numerals. And then everything becomes easy – the first two colour-squares show hours, the second two – minutes and finally the third two –seconds.

The original clock serves also as a night-lamp and can perform original light shows.
As far as the colour code is concerned, the fully unlit display means 00:00:00 and the other colours mean:
0 -Black (unlit)
1 - Pink
2 - Red
3 - Orange
4 - Yellow
5 - Green
6 - Blue
7 - Purple
8 - Cyan
9 - White
So 12:34:56 according to the Chronochrome will look like that:

The Chronochrome includes a plug-top power supply that plugs into the mains and provides the device with safe, low voltage, low current power (5 Volts 300mA max). The clock measures 250 mm in width, 90 mm in height and 90 mm in depth (base).
Chronochrome - the colour clock - is an unusual gift for people who appreciate something different. This is the present for the man or woman who has everything. The unique Chronochrome makes an original gift or conversation piece - there’s nothing quite like it on sale anywhere else in the world.
