Maurice Lacroix Calendrier Retrograde
Having started the production of in-house movement on premises of the new manufactory, the watchmaker Maurice Lacroix concentrated first of all on the production of new calibres for its best watches. The Maurice Lacroix Caledrier Retrograde is one of them. It has every right to be called the herald of the great success of the young brand of Maurice Lacroix watches in the World.
Manually assembled and decorated calibre ML150 features manual winding and traditional balance frequency of 18,000 bph. Bridges and the main plate boast the recognizable black-gold treatment. At first sight the design of the model has remained unchanged except for the crescent-shaped scale at the dial which differs from its predecessor.
In fact, the craftsmen from Maurice Lacroix have changed the looks of the watch. The secret is in the bigger size of the steel case now measuring 46 mm in diameter. The bigger size of the case caused enlargement of other parts of the characteristic silver dial. The markers at the calendar retrograde indicator have become clearer as well as those of the retrograde power reserve indicator.

Oris Swiss Hunter Big Crown
In honour of the legendary jet plane Hawker-Siddeley Hunter the watchmaking company Oris has created a special timepiece - Oris Swiss Hunter Big Crown – which makes the latest replenishment in the aviation series of Oris watches. For the first time Hawker Hunter took off in 1951 as a part of British Air Force and seven years later the plane started to protect the skies above Switzerland. And although the Hunter is no more in military service it continues its flight owing to the Swiss Hunter Team from Fliegermuseum Altenrhein which a unique team of retired pilots of Swiss Air Force. They inspired the designers from Oris to create this limited edition of pilot’s watches.

The new Swiss Hunter Big Crown is housed by a stainless steel case coated with anthracite PVD-treatment. The case measures 46 mm in diameter. Smooth curves of the case are inspired by the lines of fuselage and wings of the jet plane. A tiny silhouette of a plane at the tip of the date indicator also reminds of the legendary air machine.
The dial looks like a cockpit’s control panel while the shape of the crown pays tribute to the first pilot’s watches. The dial is protected with sapphire crystal. The see-through back case allows the owner to admire the work of the automatic movement Oris 644 (based on ETA 2824). Water resistance is 100 meters.
The edition of Swiss Hunter Big Crown watch is limited to 1958 copies – which is the symbol of the year when the Hawker Hunter first took off to the sky of Switzerland.
